Roma’s new centre back Hector Moreno discussed a wide range of topics in an interview with Kick‘s Heath Pearce, who put a number of questions asked by Twitter users to the Mexican captain, from his reaction to his transfer to his favourite pasta dish.
Moreno joined the Giallorossi in a reported €5.7m deal earlier in the summer as Monchi made him his first signing since taking the role of Roma’s sporting director, and the Mexican is excited by the new chapter in his career.
“It’s an amazing step in my career, because I’ve been working so hard to be in a top club,” Moreno said of his move to Roma. “It’s exciting because I will be in the team that’s fighting against Juventus to win the scudetto.”
The 29-year-old added that he is conscious of the increased pressure that will come with playing for Roma compared to PSV,
“In Holland we had that pressure, but not with so much competition, it’s only Ajax, Feyenoord and us. Here you have a lot of competition, because you have to fight against Inter, Milan, Juve, Napoli, Fiorentina… But I like the pressure – I think it gives you focus and concentration at the top level.”
