Speaking to ad.nl, Kevin Strootman has commented on his recent contract renewal with Roma and – amid transfer rumours linking him with a move away due to the reported release clause – insists he is happy to have signed an extension with the Giallorossi.
“I’m going to be relaxed when I go on holiday, because I’ve signed myself to Roma until 2022 and that’s what I wanted. There’s nothing more to say, I’ve had a good season and I’m feeling calm now. Before I go on holiday I want to finish my season well with Holland against Luxembourg. But I’m feeling good because I’ve renewed my contract and that’s what I wanted. We finished second behind Juventus, we got a club record number of points and got into the Champions League, it wasn’t a bad season.”
