Kostas Manolas has spoken to Premium Sport about both his future and that of team-mate Radja Nainggolan. Both players have been linked with summer moves away from Roma, but Manolas stressed that his own future is entirely in the Giallorossi’s hands and that the directors know what they need to do if they want to keep him.
Nainggolan doesn’t like the rain. But he’s one of the best players in the world and he’ll have to get used to that if he wants to play in one of the best teams in the world, because he could – he’s phenomenal.
Let’s face facts: we aren’t at the level of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
It’s hard to say that we’re aiming for the scudetto. Juventus are a very strong team and as we’ve seen they hardly ever drop a point. We’re at -8 now and it’s hard, our objective is to get into the Champions League and we’ve also got a very important game against Lazio in the Coppa Italia. We need to give our all in that game. We can turn the first leg result around, we’re the better side and we just have to show that on the pitch.
My future is in Roma’s hands, if they want to keep me they know what they need to do. If they want to sell me there’s nothing I can do.
