Kostas Manolas’ agent, Ioannis Evangelopoulos, has told tuttomercatoweb.com that it is up to Roma whether or not they sell the Greek defender in the summer. Manolas has been heavily linked with a lucrative transfer to Inter or the Premier League, but Evangelopoulos underlines that his client will go along with whatever the club decide.
“I can’t say very much for now, which is partly because Kostas’ future is now being debated daily. I read and hear a lot, there’s talk about Inter and numerous other teams, but he still belongs to Roma.”
But there isn’t any news about his contract renewal…
“He has a contract until 30th June, 2019. I’ll say it again, he’s a Roma player.”
How likely is it that he’ll stay in the capital?
“This is a question that the club itself needs to answer. There’s one thing I can say: the final decision will be taken solely and exclusively by Roma. And, if he does leave, it will be solely and exclusively their choice.”
The agent concluded: “Anyone can ask about Manolas: clubs from Serie A, Japan, China or many other leagues, but if Roma decide to keep him then we can’t change their minds. He has a contract until 2019.”
